Satoricha's Essence

SATORI

It's a term that describes a state of enlightenment and complete understanding that cannot be explained solely with words.

It's a state of transcendence where time is an illusion, and the chains of the past, present, and future disappear, allowing us to recognize that there are situations over which we have no control and cannot change—such as human nature, the past, and the future. Therefore, we shouldn't feel overwhelmed; instead, we should transcend and understand our own nature, delving deeper until we realize that everything that happens has meaning and a purpose in our story.

Cha Kanji

CHA

It's a generic term for tea. While tea refers to any infusion derived from Camellia Sinensis, in Japan it also encompasses herbal teas in certain cases.

The significance of 'Chá' in the name Satoricha has two aspects:

First: The fascination with tea, its flavors, textures, cultures, and more.

Second: Understanding that it goes beyond just an infusion; it involves capturing the essence behind each tea, from its history and origin to its traditions, and being able to apply that to everyday life. For example, in Japanese tea culture, the four principles of Sen no Rikyū emphasize harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility as the pillars of a tea ceremony, reminding us that 'This gathering, only this occasion'—teaching us to recognize that every moment in our lives is unique and cannot be fully replicated.

CAT

As physicist Dan Greenberg once said, "There’s no way to talk about cats and still come across as a sane person in the eyes of others."

The reason behind the focus on cats is that they demonstrate the art of being eternal learners. They are tireless observers, always alert and open-minded to the wonders of life.

Cats are synonymous with curiosity; they explore their surroundings independently, and, most importantly, every step outside their home is an adventure for them. This is what I strive for in each piece of writing—to make it a journey, however brief, that illuminates and enriches the readers' knowledge while fostering their creativity and curiosity.

HAT

Why would a cat wear a hat? Beyond fashion, there’s a reason why a cat like Satoricha would don a hat.

Like any cat, Satoricha is a curious explorer, always seeking new horizons, and the hat symbolizes this curious nature.

Moreover, it sparks conversations, prompting the question, 'Why would a cat wear a hat?'—a great icebreaker.

The hat turns him into an ambassador of curiosity; it not only adds a touch of elegance but also invites readers to be curious and explore beyond, as in the end, we are all travelers in this life.
